White Earth hanteert de "fair trade" policy.

White Earth is tot stand gekomen uit persoonlijke interesse en respect voor Natives.

Na een aantal weken het leven te mogen hebben meegemaakt in het reservaat van de Oglala Sioux Tribe (Lakota) in “Pine Ridge” South Dakota, werden mij vele zaken duidelijk.De gebeurtenissen in het verleden zal voor niemand een onbekend gegeven zijn. Dat de “Natives” tegenwoordig op voedselbonnen leven en dat er eigenlijk weinig veranderd is, er diepe wonden en littekens achter gebleven zijn in deze “Cultuur” zal voor velen onbegrijpelijk zijn!

Tot een aantal jaren geleden was het verboden voor de “Natives” om volgens hun eigen Cultuur (waaronder het spreken van hun taal, het opdragen van de ceremonies) te leven. Waardoor vertrouwen en zelfrespect en vooral een toekomst ver te zoeken zijn.

Het zijn gigantische Kunstenaars, Sprekers, Dansers en Muzikanten met belangrijke boodschappen, Wij kunnen nog veel leren over; in Harmonie Leven met “Alles” om ons heen , met de Natuur ,Dieren en al onze verwanten……

Op dat punt aangekomen, heb ik besloten mijn goede en drukke baan op te zeggen om deze bijna verloren Cultuur en zeer dankbare en gastvrije mensen een helpende hand te bieden waar ik kan.

Graag wil ik een aantal mensen bedanken voor hun hulp en samenwerking.

Kelly Looking Horse en zijn Familie, Little Feather Center( Chuck Derby“ Running Elk” & Gloria Hazell), Singing Horse Trading Post (Howard & Rosie) , Pagaday Indian Arts & Crafts (Pat & Gail) & Dakota Drum Company ( Sonja Holy Eagle & Dave Hansen), Kunstenaar Ray Winters “ Fighting Bear” , John Pappan “ Thunder Buffalo Enterprise”, Tealady Michelle Kalevik“ Ojibwa tea of Life”, Norbert Elmer Running, Laura White Calf en familie, Daryl en Sharon No Heart en al de mensen om mij heen die me gesteund hebben.

Alle artikelen die verkocht worden( of het nu gaat om kunstvoorwerpen, supplies of sieraden) komen van de Natives en zijn gemaakt door Natives.

Door deze artikelen te kopen geven wij deze mensen een mogelijkheid op een betere toekomst, vertrouwen en zelfrespect.

Kinderen krijgen zo de mogelijkheid hun eigen Cultuur (taal en gebruiken) te leren. Deze kinderen maken (op naschoolse activiteiten onder begeleiding) sieraden en andere kunstvoorwerpen die wij van hen kopen, zodat zij een betere toekomst tegemoet kunnen gaan.

Kinderen zijn de Toekomst!

Geef ze een helpende hand,

Omdat alle artikelen met de hand gemaakt worden op ceremoniële wijze, zijn alle artikelen verschillend. Er zijn dus geen twee exact dezelfde.

De foto’s zijn voorbeelden van artikelen maar kunnen verschillen van kleur of ontwerp, die de exclusiviteit waarborgt.

(Most items are made by Lakota from Rosebud and Pine Ridge Reservation, Dakota, Hunkpapa Sioux, Navajo from Arizona, Aztec from Mexico, Kury Pachamama Indians from Ecuador and Ojibwa/Chippewa).

FAIR TRADE
“WHITE EARTH” holds a Fair Trade policy "fair trade".

“WHITE EARTH” is being put up through personal interest and Respect towards Natives.

After spending a couple of weeks on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota from the Oglala Sioux (Lakota) Tribe, a lot of things became clear to me.
The occurrences from the fast won’t be unknown to anyone!
But, the knowledge that some Native Americans still live on food-stamps and a lot of things haven’t really changed after those years, that deep wounds are being left behind in this “Culture”, will be unbelievable for a lot of people, nowadays in 2000!

These people are amazing Artists, Speakers, Dancers and Musicians with important messages!
We could learn so much about “living in harmony” with All our Relations, the four legged, the winged ones, the standing people and All there is.
If we would just be open and still, and take some time to listen!

Coming down to this point, I decided to quit my good but busy job as manager from a temporarily job agency, to reach out a helping hand towards these grateful and hospital people and almost lost Culture, to help wherever I can.
I decided to do what my Heart tells me to.

I’m grateful for the wonderful people I have met down my Red Road and would like to give thanks to those who helped and supported me while setting up my business from the Heart:

Through buying these items, we can help these people to get possibility for a better future, trust and self esteem.
As well as the money will get to the place where it belongs!

Children get the possibility to learn their Culture (language and traditions) and help them for a better future!
As our Children are the future!
